When you enroll in a photography workshop or tour with my wife, Melissa and I, you’ll leave with an invaluable treasure trove of new knowledge and innovative camera techniques that will keep you inspired for many years to come. As a full-time photography instructor for more than 25 years, my primary goal is to help elevate your photography and take it to the next level, regardless of current skill level.  In a supportive, creative and fun group atmosphere, my aim is to help you see in new ways, stretch, grow, and push the limits of your creativity.  In the field, I’ll encourage you to slow down, notice and appreciate beauty — even without your camera — from the smallest details to the grandest landscape.  I’ll teach you how to see more deeply and express feelings and emotion in your image-making.  You’ll learn how to distill the essence of a scene, find your unique creative vision, and craft compelling compositions using contrast, color, shapes, lines, texture and more.
